Bonjour,

Aujourd’hui le mot du jour est l’expression familière (colloquial) allez (!). It is used to express impatience/exasperation (see exemple 1) or doesn’t really translate – it’s just there to fill a gap in the conversation (see exemple 2).

Exemple 1: Allez ! Dis-moi ce qu’elle t’a dit. C’mon, tell me what she said to you.

Exemple 2: Bon allez, merci pour tout et à bientôt. Well then, thanks for everything and see you soon.
